Costa Rica confirmed its intention to deport Nazi criminal Bogdan Kozy, a Ukrainian who served in the German police while his native country was occupied by the Nazis in World War II. The Soviet Union demanded his extradition in 1986. However the Costa Rican authorities rejected the demands saying Kozy would be surely executed if he returns home.
