Costa Rica's Constitutional Court cleared the way for the expulsion of Ukrainian Nazi Bodan Kosiy Ivanovich, 80, as had been ordered by the government in February 2000.Ivanovich, who is accused of war crimes, has lived in Costa Rica since 1984 and was successful in warding off a previous expulsion order in 1986 because at that time the former Soviet Union could not guarantee that he would not be sentenced to death if extradited.Costa Rican law establishes that there must be guarantees that extradited individuals will not face the death penalty.
