the Singaporean High Court sentenced national Yeo Kwee Huat to death for dealing in 9,800 Ecstasy pills. Justice Segara found Yeo, a 56 year old taxi driver, guilty after five prosecution and three defence witnesses testified. According to the facts, the father of two arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport from Paris on Jan 29, 2003. He was stopped by customs officers who found a cake box labelled “Torte & Torte” in his bag, hidden underneath clothes. The box contained the 9,800 blue Ecstasy pills.
