Earl Heiselbeltz Jr., 48, white, was executed by lethal injection. He was convicted of having killed Rena Whitton Rogers, 27, white, and her two year old daughter Jacy on 30th May, 1990. He was the first person to be executed in the State during the year, the 200th since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the fourth to be executed in the U.S. during the year and No 602 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
