EGYPT: 7 PAKISTANIS SENTENCED TO DEATH COMMUTED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT

The death sentence of seven Pakistanis imprisoned in Egypt has been commuted to life imprisonment, Pipa news reported on 9 June 2022.
An Egyptian court has sentenced seven people to death during a trial in a drug trafficking case: Sadat, Zahoor of Swat and Iqbal, Raheel, Pervez, Atif of Karachi and another person.
“We assisted in the case and on the appeal of the arrested persons, the Egyptian court commuted the death sentence to life imprisonment,” said Nisar A. Mujahid, a Supreme Court lawyer.
