EGYPT: FIVE PRISONERS, INCLUDING A WOMAN, WERE EXECUTED FOR PREMEDITATED MURDER
On January 18, 2020 it took place the execution by hanging of five defendants at Tanta General Prison.
On January 18, 2020 in the presence of the Public Prosecutor, the Tanta General Prison director and a delegate of Al-Azhar, it took the execution by hanging of five defendants, in the midst of strict security measures, under the supervision of the Major General Mahmoud Hamza, security director of Al-Gharbia, who did not allow the celebration of funerals.
The list of convicted persons included: Jamal A.A. sentenced to death in case No. 22153/209, for manslaughter; Howaida M.M. in case No. 22153/209 for premeditated murder; Ahmed A.A. in case No. 5874/2015 for premeditated murder; Mahmoud F.A. in case No. 46/2011 for premeditated murder; Ahmed A.B. in case No. 9129/2015 for manslaughter.
