An Egyptian criminal court has sentenced three men to death for killing four policemen in Qalioubiya in 2016, ahram.org reported on 17 August 2019.
Benha Criminal Court passed the sentence after applying for the assent of the grand mufti.
In February 2016, the convicted men shot at a police patrol in Seryaoos village in Khanka, killing a police officer and three others.
The police were attempting to raid a criminal hideout in the village, according to investigations.
The three men can appeal the sentence at the Court of Cassation.
