The Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR) launched today the activities of the training course on "Human Rights and promoting Criminal Justice" in Hurghada city, Egypt, the activity is part of the AOHR goals for Penal Reform in the Arab region and implemented within the activities of the International Project on Containing the Death Penalty in partnership with Hands Off Cain (Italy) which is implemented with the support of the European Union (EU).
21 Egyptian participants has joined the course, including Specialist Journalists and TV channels', and Civil Society Organisations, and the course would continue till 5 August, addressing Human Rights mechanisms, Criminal Justice system, opportunities and challenges occurring in the current legislative transition stage, Media coverage and approaches to criminal justice issues, and dissemination of public awareness.
