Farzad Jalali, a convicted rapist, was executed by hanging in the south-western Iranian town of Khoramabad, the Kayhan newspaper reported. The paper said Jalali had been sentenced to death for rape, 100 lashes for adultery and 74 lashes for illicit contact with a woman.
