Five Britons accused of bomb attacks in Saudi Arabia have retracted their confessions

Five Britons accused of bomb attacks in Saudi Arabia have retracted their confessions.
Lawyers for Alexander Mitchell, James Cottle, Les Walker, James Lee and an unnamed fifth man said: "The defence case will proceed consistent with those retractions.
"There does not appear to be any evidence other than the confessions."
Mitchell, Cottle, Walker, Lee, a Canadian and a Belgian confessed on Saudi TV in 2001 to involvement in attacks which killed one Briton and injured several people. With the fifth Briton they could face execution.
