Five convicted drug traffickers were sentenced to death by a local court in Zhejiang Province. The Intermediate People's Court in Jinhua City sentenced to death Wang Daohua, Yin Yaxiong, Zhu Zhongfa, Zheng Qiukang and Wang Yan as well as confiscating all their property and depriving them of political rights for life. Their main accomplice, Zhang Chaojian, was sentenced to death with probation. The court alleged that the five, headed by Wang Daohua, a native of Shanghai, had formed a drug trafficking ring which had smuggled 76.35 kg of heroin from Yunnan Province to Shanghai between July 2001 and March 2002.
