GAZA: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR COLLABORATING WITH ISRAEL

A military court in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip sentenced a man to death on 6 June 2022 for cooperating with Israel.
According to the charges, he provided information about senior members of the Palestinian enclave's militant groups that led to several assassinations and assassination attempts by Israel.
Note that, according to Palestinian law, the execution of a sentence requires the approval of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority.
However, the terrorist group Hamas, ruling in the Gaza Strip, considers the head of the PA, Mahmoud Abbas, illegitimate, claiming that his term of office expired more than 10 years ago.
