GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL SENTENCED TO DEATH IN CHINA

Xuan Xiong, a top fisheries official in southern China's Guangdong province was sentenced to death for the murder of a man that was to take over his job, according to the Information Times. Xuan was convicted by a local court for beating his subordinate to death with a wrench in January.
