Hungary's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Gabor Horvath, welcomed the decision of the Ukrainian Parliament to abolish the death penalty. He added that Budapest supports EU efforts towards the universal abolition of capital punishment or the announcement of a moratorium on the execution of death sentences.
