In Carson City, the Nevada Assembly voted to revise standards for court-appointed defence teams in death penalty cases. AB17 provides that the court-appointed defence for capital trials must include 2 attorneys, as well as any other experts needed to aid in the defence.
Attorneys appointed by the court would get a $50-an-hour pay raise, to $125. (see Feb. 25)
