In El Paso, a jury once again recommended the death penalty for Irving Alvin Davis.
He was convicted of raping and murdering 15-year-old Melissa Medina on June 3, 2001.
But Davis, who is now 24 years old, was granted a new sentencing hearing after the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals threw out the original jury's death sentence on June 13, 2007 (see). Now, the new jury has also sentenced Davis to death.
