In Jalalabad the top Northern Alliance commander, General [Mohammad Qasem] Fahim, arrested one of the important leaders of the alliance, [Islamic Unity leader] Professor Abdorrasul Sayyaf, after the allegation of killing [former Northern Alliance commander, murdered in September] Ahmad Shah Masud was proved against him.
Sayyaf was put under house arrest and was soon to be executed.
The execution was delayed because of the American attacks and the constant advance of the Taleban.
