In the Italian Chamber Alleanza Nazionale MP Andrea Ronchi tabled a motion calling on the government to "continue its diplomatic and political action to take definitive steps towards the presentation and adoption by the ongoing General Assembly of a resolution in favour of a worldwide moratorium on executions, in fulfilment of its announced commitment and the mandates of the European and Italian parliaments."
