According to the prosecution, Subhash Jain of Muzaffarnagar had an altercation with tanker driver Ved Prakash over a sum of Rs 18,000. Following this, Subhash murdered the chauffeur, a cleaner and an unknown passenger on June 7, 1996. Ved Prakash's brother registered a case against four people, including Subhash, of whom three were found guilty.
