INDIA: DEATH PENALTY BY UNLF

the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) in Imphal, India, awarded the death penalty to Pukhrambam Mangoljao for killing Soram Prabhakar, alias Thoi, 5, after snatching gold earrings from him. On interrogation, evidence of Mangoljao’s involvement was found and he allegedly admitted his involvement to the investigating team. The penalty was executed by a selected team of the outfit on the intervening night of October 18 and 19, the statement conveyed.
