the Punjab and Haryana High Court in India upheld the death sentence of a man for killing his two minor sons in an inebriated condition three years ago. The Division Bench of Justice J S Khehar and Justice Sham Sunder held that Kamleshwar Paswan deserved no compassion from the court. Unable to make ends meet and fed up with his wife's alleged nagging, Kamleshwar bludgeoned his sons to death at Kishangarh village on May 15, 2005. He had hit his two sons, Sunil, one and Suraj, three, and seven year old daughter Yashoda with a log of fire wood. Yashoda, however, survived. Paswan, a migrant labourer from Bihar, was awarded the death sentence by District and Sessions Judge Chandigarh, K K Garg on December 1, 2007.
