INDIA: MAN AWARDED DEATH SENTENCE

at a local court in Ropar, India, Additional Sessions Judge Mandeep Pannu awarded the death sentence to Jagjit Singh for the murder of three members of a family. Three brothers, Ravinder, Balwinder and Kulwant Singh, were killed by firing at Takipur village on February 16, 2006, over a land dispute.
