INDIA. MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR RAPE, MURDER

a fast-track court sentenced to death Padam Kashyap, charged with murdering a minor girl after raping her. Kashyap, a resident of Muzaffarnagar district, India, killed the minor before raping her in the district’s Chapartala village on April 12.
The body of the girl was recovered from a nearby field the next day.
