Justices Alam and Ganguly of the Indian Supreme Court commuted to life imprisonment the death penalty awarded to Remdeo Chauhan, alias Rajnath Chauhan, for murdering Bhabani Charan Das and his three family members on 8 March, 1992.
Justices Alam and Ganguly of the Indian Supreme Court commuted to life imprisonment the death penalty awarded to Remdeo Chauhan, alias Rajnath Chauhan, for murdering Bhabani Charan Das and his three family members on 8 March, 1992. Chauhan was awarded death sentence by a sessions court in Guwhati, which was upheld in 2000 by the Supreme Court.
