Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan and Justice BS Chauhan of the Indian Supreme Court stayed the death sentence of Surinder Koli. He was convicted in February 2009 of raping and killing Rimpa Haldar, 14, in Noida. Her remains were found with 19 other bodies in a drain.
