a Division Bench of Justice Satish Kumar and Justice M Jeyapaul of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in India cancelled the death penalties of three people. Anita, Ranjit Kumar Gupta and Ravinder Singh allegedly kidnapped and murdered Anita and Gupta's two children on September 1, 2009. Singh's death penalty was commuted to 20-years imprisonment, Anita and Gupta were acquitted.
