In India, a Jharkhand court sentenced three persons to death for killing six members of a family in 2006.
The District and Session Judge Palamau VK Sahay held Jogeshwar Paswan, Rajendra Paswan and Satyendra Paswan guilty of killing Sipahi Ram, Suraj Maal Ram, Samil Ram, Barshi Devi, Urmila Devi and Lilawati Devi in August 28, 2006 and awarded them capital punishment.
The First Information Report (FIR) filed by family of the deceased had said that the trio had killed the six persons, including three women, after death of a person owing to witchcraft.
