District Judge S M A Abidi gave seven others two years imprisonment for conspiracy and destruction of evidence. Defence lawyer Vidya Dhar Pande said “we are not happy with the procedure of the investigation and there was no proper evidence.” Manjunath, a 27-year-old Indian Oil Corporation worker was shot dead in November in 2005 for blowing the whistle on adulteration in a petrol pump run by Mittal.
