INDONESIA. DEATH PENALTY SOUGHT FOR ALLEGED MILITANTS

prosecutors in Indonesia's Maluku province sought the death penalty for two alleged Muslim militants accused of plotting a 2004 karaoke bar attack that killed two.
The Jakarta Post said the men were accused of masterminding the attack in Hative Besar near the provincial capital, Ambon.
The men were said to be members of the Laskar Jihad group, blamed for much of the violence that had pitted Christians against Muslims in the region since 1999.
