24 October 2018: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced the execution of two nationals accused of luring a fellow citizen to his death.
Abdullah bin Eid bin Barka al-Awfi and Nader bin Mohammed bin Bakhit al-Awfi were convicted of encouraging Nayef bin Hamoud bin Mubarak al-Awfi and his father to come to a desert area so they could harm them. The two Saudi nationals were executed at the general prison in Madinah. It was unclear whether the suspects and victims were related.
