IRAN - 2 more executions in Yazd on December 15

December 15, 2024 - IRAN. 8 men and 1 woman executed in Yazd on December 15
Supplementing a news item already published in recent days, there are 9 and not 7 people executed in Yazd on Dec. 15: 8 men and 1 woman.
Compared to previous news, today we learned the name of the woman, Mahboobeh (last name not yet known), and two other men executed: Karim Eslami, 32, accused of killing his girlfriend 3 years ago, and Najaf Rahmani, accused of drug offenses.
Two others were returned to their cells after obtaining extensions in their murder cases at the last minute.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, 15 other death row prisoners have been transferred to Yazd Central Prison from other prisons in Yazd province to be executed in the coming days. At the time of writing, none of their executions have been reported by domestic media in Iran.
