On April 9, the death sentences of a Kurdish prisoner from Kermanshah—43-year-old Meysam Veysi—along with an Afghan national named Shir-Mohammad Nazarollah, both sentenced on charges of murder, were carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. On the same day, other sources had reported the execution of other prisoners, bringing the total number of executions in that prison on that day to six.
As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced in the state-run media.
