The death sentence of an Afghan national identified as Abdulmahdi Rashadmiri, along with two other prisoners, Saeed Motiei and Asghar Ramazani, was carried out at Qom Central Prison. According to reports obtained by Hengaw, the executions took place at dawn on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
Saeed Motiei (Moti), 41, from Qom, had been on the run in Turkey for seven years before his arrest in 2023 on charges of murder. Mr. Motiei was associated with Naser Atarad, who was executed in the same prison on May 15, 2024, in a case previously reported by Hengaw.
Additionally, Abdulmahdi Rashadmiri,30, an Afghan national from Mazar-e-Sharif who had been in custody for three years after being charged with murder. Asghar Ramazani,34, from Mahdasht, Karaj, who had been arrested for two years on charges of drug-related offenses and possession of two firearms.
As of this report, the executions have not been announced by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
