Hassan Faylom, was hanged in public outside Tehran´s Qasr prison, for killing his wife, Fatemeh, and his 19-month old daughter, Melika, stabbing them 41 times "in order to satisfy his lust and that of his lover Mojgan". Judge in the Tehran Justice Department decided that the execution shoukd take place in public "because of the aggravating circumstance of hurting public sentiment that characterized his crime". His decision was confirmed by the Iranian Supreme Court.
