Mohammad Golousi, Fariborz Haghi, Ali Hosseinpour, Reza Bakhtavar, Meysam Joudaki, and Sajad Pourdanesh.
According to information received by Hengaw, at dawn on August 3, 2025, the death sentences of 6 prisoners, all convicted on drug-related charges, have been carried out in Karaj Central Prison
They have been identified as Mohammad Golousi, Fariborz Haghi, and Ali Hosseinpour (all Kurdish), and Reza Bakhtavar, Meysam Joudaki, and Sajad Pourdanesh.
Golousi was from Kermanshah (Kermashan); Haghi, from Nourabad; Hosseinpour, from Kuhdasht; Bakhtavar and Joudaki, both from Karaj; and Pourdanesh, from Tehran.
Hengaw had issued a report last week warning that these prisoners were at imminent risk of execution.
State media have not announced the executions. HoC notes that the name ‘Fariborz Haghi’ also appears in a Hrana report on two people executed on 3 August in Kermanshah, while ‘Fariborz Haqi’ is mentioned in a Hengaw report on three people executed on 3 August in Kermanshah (see).
