A prisoner was hanged on charge of rape and murder in public in Khonj, Iran.
According to the sentence issued by Khonj revolutionary court and the confirmation of Fars province judiciary and the Supreme Court, a 32 years old prisoner who had been charged with killing 2 persons in 2006 was hanged in the morning.
Abdollah Mohammadi the head of Khonj judiciary said: “The hanged one had confessed also that he had raped a woman, too.”
The execution was held in presence of the families of the murdered ones and members of Khonj security council in public.
