IRAN - A woman, identified only as Soudabeh, was executed in Maraqeh on October 26, 2018

A young woman identified only as Soudabeh was executed in Maraqeh, East Azerbaijan Province, on October 26, 2018, the Iranian state-run ROKNA news agency reported on May 9, 2019. She had been imprisoned for 12 years on death row on the charge of deliberate murder. She was hanged upon the order of the Penal Court of East Azerbaijan Province. The is the 88th woman who is hanged during Hassan Rouhani’s tenure as the mullahs’ president.
