Abdolghafar Cheshmdam-Gargij executed in Zahedan on January 17. According to Resanak, a Baluch man was executed in Zahedan Central Prison on the morning of January 17. 34-year-old Abdolghafar Cheshmdam-Gargij was from Haji Abad in Zahedan and residing in Zabol before being sentenced to qisas for murder. Abdolghafar was arrested on the charges in 2018 and had been behind bars since.
Iran Human Rights previously reported the execution of Abdolbaset Rigi on January 17, bringing the number of executions in Zahedan Central Prison to two on that day. At the time of writing, neither of their executions have been reported by domestic media in Iran.
