According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Bandar Abbas Central Prison on 19 May 2025. His identity has been established as Abdoljabar Jamalzi, a married Afghan man from Bakwah, Farah province in Afghanistan.
He was arrested in Roudan county a few years ago and sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
