According to information received by Hengaw, the execution of Ali Asghar Sanei took place at dawn on October 14, 2026. Sanei was from Semnan.

Hengaw sources reported that he worked as a tiler in the construction industry before his arrest approximately three years ago for transporting nine kilograms of heroin.

Sanei maintained in his defense that he had no prior criminal record and had been driven to the offense by severe financial hardship and economic pressure. He was a father of four.

State media have not announced his execution.
