The death sentence of Alireza Yarmohammadi, a 22-year-old Turkish prisoner from Azandarian, Malayer County, Hamedan Province, was carried out in Hamedan Central Prison. According to a report received by Hengaw, Alireza Yarmohammadi, who was arrested four years ago at the age of 18, was executed at dawn on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Sources state that Yarmohammadi was arrested after an incident in which he killed one of several individuals who attempted to sexually assault him. Despite his claims of self-defense, he was sentenced to death.
It is also reported that Yarmohammadi faced significant hardships during his imprisonment, including being taken to the gallows twice before his execution was finalized.
As of the time of this report, Iranian state-run media have not announced his execution.
