Arash Waresi (also Warsi), 35 years old, resident of Bijar, was executed in the prison in Zanjan.
According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Association, on Friday he was transferred to solitary confinement with his brother Nejat Waresi. The families of two prisoners had their last meeting with them that afternoon. Arash Warsi was executed on Sunday morning, March 14, but the fate of his brother Nejat Waresi is unknown. Reports indicate that Arash and Nejat Waresi, were arrested on charges of murder in 2011 and sentenced to death. They got into a fight with someone who owed money, and they killed him during the fight.
