Arsalan Karimi executed in Isfahan Central Prison on August 2. At least 61 people have now been executed on drug charges in 2021. According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was executed in Isfahan Central Prison on the morning of August 2. His identity has been established as Arsalan Karimi, 33, who was sentenced to death on drug-related charges. Informed sources have told IHR that Arsalan was a married father of two and a Kermanshah native. At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
