Asad Keshavarz and Amin Safarkesh were executed in Urmia (Orumiyeh) on July 20. Kurdistan Human Rights Network has been informed that the death sentences of two prisoners, Asad Keshavarz and Amin Safarkesh, were carried out in Orumiyeh Central Prison this morning, July 20. The two prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement yesterday with another prisoner ‘Baitullah Motalebi’. Motalebi has been returned to the Counselling Ward after persuading “blood owners (Oliya-e-dam)” to give him time for paying the blood money (diyat). The three prisoners had previously been arrested on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to retaliation (execution).
