January 14, 2024 - At least six men executed in Karaj on January 14.
According to information obtained by IHR, at least six Kurdish men were executed in Karaj Penitentiary on 14 January. Their identities have been established as Ahmad Latifi, Ali Akbar Moradian, Akbar Khoramtash (Khorram Tash), Hadi Nazari, Seyed Ali (Hojat) Miri and Amirhossein Maleki. KHRN writes of 5 men: Hadi Nazari, Hojjat Miri, Akbar Taj, Amir Hossein Maleki and Ahmad Latifi.
According to Hengaw, the executed men were: Ahmad Latifi, Akbar Khoramtash, Ali Akbar Mordian, Amirhosein Maleki, Hadi Nazari and Ali Miri.
All men were sentenced to death for drug-related charges by the Revolutionary Court.
According to Hrana, the executed prisoners were “at least 11”.
At the time of writing, none of their executions have been reported by domestic media in Iran.
