According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were hanged in Shiraz (Adel Abad) Central Prison on 8 June 2025. Their identities have been established as Ayoub Samadi and Mojtaba Taheri (photo) from Ahar. They were sentenced to death on drug-related charges in separate cases.
An informed source told IHR: “Ayoub was arrested two years and eight months ago for drug offences and carrying firearms. He was transferred to Adel Abad Prison for execution from Pirbanu Prison. Mojtaba was arrested four years ago and transferred to the gallows from Ward 8 of the prison.”
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
