10th woman executed in Iran this year
According to a report received by Hengaw, on Saturday morning, May 18, 2024, the death sentence of a 27-year-old female prisoner named Fatemeh Abdollahi was carried out in the central prison of Neyshabur (Neishabur) for premeditated murder.
According to informed sources, Fatemeh Abdollahi was arrested three years ago on charges of murder of her husband.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, since the beginning of 2024 (less than 5 months), at least 10 women have been executed in various prisons of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
