Firouz Bahrami Astaraki executed in Dezful Prison on March 3.
At dawn on Thursday, March 3, 2022, the death sentence of Firouz Bahrami Astaraki, 25, who had previously been sentenced to death for the murder of the commander of a SSF station, Abbas Naderi, was carried out in Dezful Prison.
Sajjad Asadi Mehr, Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Shoosh, announced the news and said that the sentence was confirmed and carried out by the Supreme Court. “Abbas Naderi was the commander of Hossein Abad police station in Shoosh, who was killed on Tuesday January 12, 2016, at the age of 36, in a gunfight west of Karkheh,” the Prosecutor said.
Firouz Bahrami, along with Nad Ali Farhadi, were shot at by SSF agents as they passed by a car on the road. During their clashes with these forces, the head of the SSF station was killed by Nad Ali Farhadi.
Nad Ali Farhadi was also wounded after killing the head of the SSF station and was killed during another fight near Karkheh.
But Firouz Bahrami was arrested and severely subjected to brutal torture.
Firouz spent six years in Shoosh and Dezful prisons without having an attorney to defend him.
On Thursday, March 3, 2022, without the family’s knowledge, Firouz was informed of his execution. He wrote his will addressing his parents that night and was hanged at 5 a.m. on Thursday before morning prayer in Dezful Prison.
