May 6, 2026 - IRAN. Hadi Alipour executed in Shiraz on May 6
According to information Iran Human Rights and Hengaw obtained on July 6, a man was hanged in Shiraz (Adel Abad) Central Prison on 6 May 2026. His identity has been established as Hadi (Ehsan) Alipour, a 22-year-old father of one from Shiraz. He was sentenced for murder.
A source told IHR: “Three and a half years ago, Hadi became involved in a street altercation with an individual who was harassing his wife, unintentionally committing murder. The victim’s next of kin refused to forgo their right to execution.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
