The death sentence of Hamid Ashna (Noutizehi), a 29-year-old Baloch prisoner, was carried out in Kerman Central Prison.
According to reports received by Hengaw, the execution took place at dawn on January 8, 2025. Hamid Ashna, a father of two from the village of Shour near Zahedan, was arrested five years ago on charges related to drug trafficking. On the day before his execution, he was transferred from Ward 4 of the prison to solitary confinement, where he was allowed a final visit with his family. As of this report, the execution has not been officially announced by state media.
